Day 1: Manali.
Manali arrival and transfer to hotel. After having your breakfast we will take you to Hadimba temple, Vashist temple and hot sulpher springs, Manu temple in Old Manali, Tibetan monastery and evening stroll around Mall road. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Manali Gemur.
Start early to avoid traffic on Manali Rohtang Pass road. Rohtang in Tibetan terms means pile of corpses. Enjoy the beauty of Pir Panjal range, and reach Rohtang in one and half hours drive from Manali. The terrian will slowly change once you cross Rohtang and enter Lahaul Spiti. Lahaul Spiti is the largest district of Himachal Pradesh geagraphically with the least population. A short break at Khoksar for a cup of chai and later drive along the Chandra river till Tandi Sangam. Reach Gemur by afternoon. Overnight at camp.
Day 3: Khangsar Khar, Gemur - Jispa:
Khangsar Khar , the palace of early rulers ( Thakurs) is half an hour drive from campsite. The palace is said to have 108 rooms. Later visit Gemur monastery, the biggest monastery in Todh valley. You will also be visiting Jispa village, a beautiful village on the banks of river Bhaga. Overnight at camp in Gemur.
Day 4: Gemur - Chandertaal.
After breakfast leave towards Khoksar, the last village of Lahaul valley towards Manali and little further at Gramphu take the road to Spiti valley. Enjoy the off road till Chandertaal, we will stop at Batal for our lunch at Chacha Chachi dhaba. Chandertaal ( the moon lake) is another 14 km from here. After driving for approx 6 hours we will reach our campsite and further half an kilometer walk reach the lake side and enjoy the pristine nature at its best. Overnight at camp.
Day 5: Chandertaal Kaza.
Today we will be driving towards Kaza, the subdivisional headquarter of Spiti valley of Lahaul and Spiti district. The landscapes of Spiti valley will certainly mesmerise you after crossing Kunzom Pass ( 15060 ft). Losar is the first village of Spiti Valley. You will reach Kaza by early evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Kee, Kibber, Langza, Komic.
We will be visiting Kee monastery, a 11th Century monastery belonging to Gelugpa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and is the largest monastery in the valley. Kibber is approx 18 km from Kaza, and and Komic, said to be the highest village in Asia. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Pin Valley, Dhankar, Tabo.
Today you will be visiting Kungri monastery in Pin Valley and later drive towards Tabo. Tabo monastery is said to be the Ajanta of Himalayas built in year 996 by Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8: Gyu, Tabo, Kaza
We will visit a small village called Gyu near Kinnaur border where you can see the famous mummy of an old monk on top of the village. Drive back to Tabo for lunch and on the way back to Kaza you will be visiting the Dhankar monastery. Overnight at hotel in Kaza/Rangrik/Losar.
Day 9: Drive back to Manali.
Overnight at hotel.
